Writer: Neil Smail

Feature Film

Cavendish is a family friendly, feel good story.

Abandoned as a tiny baby, 10-year-old orphan boy Cavendish is a self reliant and resourceful boy who has become the adopted son of an all-ages community in a lakeside suburb of Australia's national capital, Canberra.

While living nomadically in secret hideaways in town and on  the nearby wetlands, where he is also helping his friend,  Jackie, a park ranger on a survey of migratory birds.

Cavendish is also supported by retired academics,  cafe owners and  a range of other quirky personalities who live in the area.

When he finds his comfortable world and friends threatened by a gang of nasty criminals, Cavendish uses all his cunning to put an end to their plans and to protect both the birds and his friends.
